Hey everyone

Some quick updates, I am in Guatemala, well that’s all…

Haha, I’m just kidding, life has been such an amazing experience even trying to get to Guatemala. My team had to stay in Wisconsin for seven extra days. Trapped in a room with nothing to do. There were a lot of FaceTime calls and crazy 8 games. The ladies on my team will say that the guys cheated but we were just using our resources. But we all made it here and let me tell you it is nothing like America.

You can only use purified water for drinking, brushing your teeth, cooking, etc.. and it hard to remember that when it comes to brushing your teeth. Not only that but washing your clothes is a new experience. Pilas( something used to hand washcloths) is my new way of life.

When it comes to taking a shower that is where the shocking experience comes into play. One it’s always cold. Thank you training camp for getting me used to the bucket showers. Even though it’s not a bucket shower it is still as cold as one. That’s not the real shocking experience. The one that I am talking about is getting shocked by the showerhead when you touch it. The two other guys have had the experience but I have not. And I am glad that I have not had this experience, but also seems like I’m missing out on a right of passage when it comes to showering here in Guatemala. Don’t worry this is something that I do not intend to do. Even though it does make you think why have we not gotten shocked while in the shower. You know water and volts of electricity do not mix well.

Truly Guatemala is an amazing place with amazing people. I’m excited to see what God has planned for me and my team/squad while we are here.

Until next time.
